I love it. It has a good selection of books and the readers are excellent.

Where are the good books at., these books are okay but they are boring. Love the lay out but just don’t enjoy the books that so many apps have, all the apps have these same books including the ones you have to pay, but they will offer them for free, and it is also hard to understand some of the people who were reading the books, so sorry 😐 I’m deleting the app.

This app may not be perfect but I love the old favorites and find myself enjoying them during unexpected opportunities to check in. Some of the readers are excellent. Others, not so much, but it's about the story.

The volunteers who do this sometimes speak badly 95 percent is very good all around 9.75 out of ten

I don't like the ads but it's a pretty great app. One thing I would change is give it a speed option. Sometimes they read to slow.

This app is awesome! It really is absolutely free! They have like every classic book ever! I totally recommend it!

I used to use this app, moved to a subscription service, and decided to come back today. 20 seconds in and now I remember what I didn't like: narrators voices can be like nails on a chalkboard, and the description of the book does not include how long it is. I will try other books by the author I wanted to listen to, but not so happy :-/

Way too many pop ups and ads and unrelated requests. Once you finally get to listen it is awesome. The readers are consistent and well spoken

I like that I can save books to listen to later without Wi-Fi. This is a huge bonus. Since this uses public domain recordings, there are quite a few horrible books... However, that isn't something that can really be fixed... All in all, I like it well enough.

Great free app to hear some of the classics! My only wish is that the recordings would flow better. In some of the novels chapters are repeated. However the quality of the recordings is good and the app serves its purpose well.

This app is the only free app I have ever found with GOOD books (making it the best) but the only flaw is that in a few of the people that read are hard to understand.

So many amazing books. This app works great! I love the fact that if I'm listening before sleep I can set this app to turn itself off. Thank you for making this great app it's such a wonderful price!

I'm in college, and I needed an abundant audiobook collection. This app so far, has been very useful and quite easy to use.

Love all the different reading voices and the volunteer aspect to the service. Free, reliable, interesting...all good.

Very functional app with classic books I'd never find time to read. The narrators I've heard so far have pleasant voices and make the stories come alive.

Perfect for back to school, I listen on the bus and any break times. Some books we have to read for grades or projects are on this app! Hoping there will be more audio books soon. Please add Anne Frank The Diary of a Young Girl

It is impossible to rate each presentation separately, the individual reviews never download so there is no way to know what each story will bring. Some of the narrators are excellent and present high quality recordings. Some are simply terrible and listening to them is torture. There is no quality control as some novels have recording problems. There is no way to stop, start or pause with the screen locked. As these recordings are free, the advertisements are to be expected however the ads with sound are obnoxious and intrusive. As it is not possible to use any of the controls with the screen locked, having to stop in mid reading causes the presentation to switch to an add. That's where the loud music from "Walapop" or other ads with sound intrude. With some of these problems attended to, I would not have a problem paying for these recordings.

There are no books any earlier than 1923.

While I'm loving having tons of classics at my fingertips for free I've noticed two major issues. Not being able to play/pause from lock screen (although you can using earphones with a button) and more importantly is that it causes horrid battery drain. I use it while I work (moving around so I can't charge) and it drops from 100% to 20% in just a few hours. And that's from a downloaded book. By contrast I can stream podcasts for 7 hours straight and it'll only drop by 30-40%. Really wish this could be improved, otherwise I love it.

I really love having these classics that I can listen to while I am walking outside. Also, at night I put one on and it puts my kids to sleep while I lay close to them listening also. I had to get used to different authors reading different chapters but it's so convenient that I don't care anymore!

I've been loving listening to addict for free, especially when on long car rides or drives. I've listened to Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility so far and looking forward to more. Love the voice stylization for characters and having something to keep my mind engaged while I drive.

I just downloaded this app and it doesn't work. It won't even open it just tries to open over and over and immediately closes. I'm very disappointed!!

Great app

I love it. It has a wide verity of classics and they are read by real people. I only hope they will add even more books in the future.
