I use this app all the time. At first I wasnt sure about the selection because they are public domain books which one might think are old and boring. But thinking like that robs you of many great stories. I have recently been listening to Burroughs John Carter series and its really engaging. Im hooked & I love that I can listen to them anywhere. Thanks

The best way to listen to free audio books!

I love it. It has a wide verity of classics and they are read by real people. I only hope they will add even more books in the future.

I just downloaded this app and it doesnt work. It wont even open it just tries to open over and over and immediately closes. Im very disappointed!!

Ive been loving listening to addict for free, especially when on long car rides or drives. Ive listened to Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility so far and looking forward to more. Love the voice stylization for characters and having something to keep my mind engaged while I drive.

I really love having these classics that I can listen to while I am walking outside. Also, at night I put one on and it puts my kids to sleep while I lay close to them listening also. I had to get used to different authors reading different chapters but its so convenient that I dont care anymore!

While Im loving having tons of classics at my fingertips for free Ive noticed two major issues. Not being able to play/pause from lock screen (although you can using earphones with a button) and more importantly is that it causes horrid battery drain. I use it while I work (moving around so I cant charge) and it drops from 100% to 20% in just a few hours. And thats from a downloaded book. By contrast I can stream podcasts for 7 hours straight and itll only drop by 30-40%. Really wish this could be improved, otherwise I love it.

There are no books any earlier than 1923.

It is impossible to rate each presentation separately, the individual reviews never download so there is no way to know what each story will bring. Some of the narrators are excellent and present high quality recordings. Some are simply terrible and listening to them is torture. There is no quality control as some novels have recording problems. There is no way to stop, start or pause with the screen locked. As these recordings are free, the advertisements are to be expected however the ads with sound are obnoxious and intrusive. As it is not possible to use any of the controls with the screen locked, having to stop in mid reading causes the presentation to switch to an add. Thats where the loud music from "Walapop" or other ads with sound intrude. With some of these problems attended to, I would not have a problem paying for these recordings.

Perfect for back to school, I listen on the bus and any break times. Some books we have to read for grades or projects are on this app! Hoping there will be more audio books soon. Please add Anne Frank The Diary of a Young Girl

Very functional app with classic books Id never find time to read. The narrators Ive heard so far have pleasant voices and make the stories come alive.

Love all the different reading voices and the volunteer aspect to the service. Free, reliable, interesting...all good.

Im in college, and I needed an abundant audiobook collection. This app so far, has been very useful and quite easy to use.
